Services

It’s extremely difficult to distill the essence of all my expertise and abilities down into what services my company can provide, but I tried anyway. |⫮| nonfractional focuses on providing services for pre-seed to growth stage startups in four distinct yet interrelated areas.

Refine. Ideas, while great, might not be fully thought through or have a comprehensive product vision. I can help in refining a wholistic product vision, ensuring that all aspects of the vision have been carefully and meticulously thought out.

Devise. Possibly one of the more difficult parts of building a product is being able to break the vision down into its actionable raw elements. I have the unique ability and expertise of bridging the gap between product and engineering, enabling me to devise the most comprehensive and optimal execution strategy.

Build. Whether it is a proof-of-concept, MVP or final product, I can build it or advise on how to build it. While engineers have preferences around how they build, I prefer to take an any-stack approach. The technologies I use and recommend are chosen to fit the product vision, strategic plan and resources available, not the other way around.

Advise. With 20+ years of learnings I can provide guidance to all areas a startup faces. Whether a startup is looking for one time advice, or an embedded startup advisor, I can help you broaden your range of experience, skills, and knowledge.

Æthos

To me the core values of a company are just as important as the quality of work produced. The name and logo I chose are reflections of these core values and represent more than just a brand, they are its æthos. When I was originally determining what my company would focus on, there were a lot of parallels to “fractional” work that kept coming up. I really didn’t like the connotations of fractional work. The experience and services that I provide go well beyond the typical “fractional” freelancer and if you know me, I have a hard time doing anything fractionally. Thus the name “nonfractional” was born.

When designing the logo, I could not stop thinking about mathematical symbols (I’m a nerd 🤓). I first landed on using the does not divide “∤” symbol and quickly realized that the absolute value “| |” symbol paired well with the message I wanted to convey. The work I do and who I am is all about creating positive connections and deep change in our world, while doing the best work that I can possibly do.
