Race: 2018 Troy Turkey Trot 10k
Thanksgiving for me (and really any holiday for the matter), is about traditions. I love watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, I love getting together with family and eating the same kinds of food every year. I also love the races that occur. 2018 was my first time running the Troy Turkey Trot and despite the weather being insanely cold, 7º F 😱 🥶, I had a ton of fun.
I’ve run a few of the other Turkey Trots in the area, but I think I like this one the best. It’s definitely the largest, with lots of festive, energetic fun. The 10k race is also early enough that I don’t feel bad ditching my family at home.
